选用与使用机油的要领

选择机油必须以个人用车习惯、环境、天候等因素为考虑。以台湾的天候而言，冬天很少低于0度，夏天经常高于30度，因此选择黏度指数高一点的机油会比较适合。

一般车辆建议使用10W40、15W40的机油，5W50、10W50等番号的机油适合行车步调比较快的车使用，而10W60的机油基本上并不适合一般小马力车使用，较高的黏度反而会影响引擎的动力输出，车子开起来既耗油、又无力。至于赛车用机油由于不含清洁剂，因此使用寿命通常低于1000公里，而篦麻油更属纯竞技用，一场比赛之后就必须换掉，专业车队甚至会将引擎分解清洗，否则残留的油冷却后会胶化，不加以正视的话，引擎很快就爆掉了。

换油标准因使用环境、条件等而有所不同，通常原厂都有规定的更换里程（多以5000公里为准）。虽然高性能机油比较不易老化，但如果因而延长换油期限，绝非智举。尤其是混于机油中的污垢，无法只靠机油滤清器完全排除，因此换油的期限无关性能，而是对引擎的保护！

总之，大家最好能随时注意机油的选定和换油的里程，然后多比较各家的油品，再找出适合爱车使用的机油，只要能正确的选用，发生引擎故障的机率将会相对地降低，性能当然也能尽情的发挥。

而如果你选择的机油完全符合原厂的需求、也符合原厂所规定的更换里程，当然原厂就该负起保固期间内所应负的责任，况且政府也有明文规定：「原厂的保固资格在限定的条件下，就算不是使用原厂指定油，当引擎并非在不当操控下所导致的故障，原厂仍需理赔」。不过，如果是因你自己恶操才导致问题发生，一切后果你当然要自己承受了！
